Our Programs

Minors in CSIS

The department offers students an opportunity to minor in either (or both) of the programs.

Computer Science
CSC101 Introduction to Problem Solving Using Computers, CSC145 Introduction to Programming I, [CSC340 (240) Programming in Java / CSC342 (255) Programming in C#], CSC345 (245) Introduction to Programming II, CSC301 Foundations of Computer Science I, CSC445 Computer Algorithms and one of [CSC302 Foundations of Computer Science II, CSC405 Computer Architecture, CSC410 Operating Systems, CSC415 Programming Languages, CSC420 Numerical Analysis I, CSC530 Graphical User Interface Development]. Six hours must be upper-level courses completed in-residence at Murray State University

Computer Information Systems (CIS):
CSC101 Introduction to Problem Solving Using Computers, CSC199 Introduction to Information Technology, CSC232 Visual Basic Programming I, CSC260 Application Program Development in COBOL I, CIS307 Decision Support Technologies, CIS317 Principles of Information Systems Analysis and Design and one course in CIS/CSC/TSM at the 3xx level or above (with CIS advisor approval). Six hours must be upper-level courses completed in-residence at Murray State University
